Update on House Projects

The past couple of weeks have been busy at the Davis household. We finally (almost) have finished the kitchen and erected a fire pit in the backyard. Here are some pictures of the progress.

The Kitchen

The process of tearing down the wallpaper was tough.

Someone thought this wallpaper was a good idea...

We then started to paint....

....But when we realized that we can't paint we hired someone to do it. Hey, what's the point of overtime if you don't spend it? Right?

The finished product, minus some decor.

Sarah created the decor.

Tada!

We just need some curtains and a few other accessories and the room will finally be completed. It only took five months. Whew!

The Fire Pit

We went to the Home Depot for supplies...

...and left with this!

It was heavy...

...but Sarah took care of it.

I started with the wood holder.

Wood holder completed.

Then I got hard to work on the fire pit without the help of Duke...lazy.

Well, I kind of got to work.

Finished product. I still want to add some surrounding stones, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Works pretty good too!

Well, on to the next project!
