This past weekend was Sarah's 27th birthday. We planned a day full of fun and adventure that we thought might have to be cancelled due to a hospital visit on Friday.
We thought that the baby may have decided to show up a little early.
False alarm! |
So our plans for Saturday were able to continue after all. We started the day off with Sarah opening one of her gifts, because she was well behaved. Then we went to "Artist for a Day", a place where you pick a clay object and can paint it however you'd like!
Good behavior. |
Decisions, decisions. |
Sarah picked a tea pot and an elephant. |
I picked a firetruck...because I'm an adult and can do what I want! |
Pure concentration. |
Didn't make much progress before they closed...guess we will have to go back. Also, I now realize that I lack basic artistic skills. |
After we (Sarah) painted we headed to dinner. Sarah wanted to try something new this year. We had always talked about going to The Melting Pot and it turned out to be really good!
Birthday cheers! |
Don't worry, it's virgin...you people. |
Mine is not ;) |
Snacks and cheese! The apples were gross, but Sarah liked it. |
Only way you will get me to eat vegetables. |
The main course you cooked in the oil. It was fantastic. |
Mmmm. Teriyaki steak, pork, shrimp, regular steak, and chicken. |
For dessert we had a creme brulee white chocolate fondue with assorted things to dip in it. |
We had a lot of cake at home already from baby shower activities so I got her ice cream instead. |
Happy Birthday Sarah!
Thanks for reading.
