Putting Up the Christmas Tree

After some delay we finally got (most of) the Christmas lights up, including the tree. Wednesday I put all the lights up on the outside of the house and the plan was to come back inside and put up the remainder of the lights, but that didn't happen. A project that I thought would only take about a half hour ended up taking 2 hours to complete and the indoor lights remained in boxes. Yesterday, after some struggle with Elle, we got the majority of the indoor lights up. Here are some pictures.

Oooh, the lights!

Elizabeth's first Christmas.
She was cranky and would not take her nap.
So we put her in baby prison...
...and showcased our ornaments.
When she finally posted baby bond she came back for the assist.

Admiring "her" work.
Time for a bottle while Mom and Dad are entranced in "White Christmas".
Once Elle was asleep I finished up the tree with the star.
Nothing but perfection.
The same star that we have had since we first put up a Christmas tree together. 7 years now.
Just like old times....wait, do you hear crying?
All finished.
Elizabeth's stocking in the middle. (Yes, I know they are uneven...ugh!)
The hallway tree with it's new lights.
Seal of approval.

Thanks for looking!
