[EXPLORE] Linwood Park

Today I rode my bicycle into one of my favorite cities, Vermilion. Now I know Vermilion is a hot topic on this blog, but that is only because there are so many cool little "villages" located inside of the city. One of those villages is Linwood Park, located just east of downtown. Linwood Park was named after the copious amounts of Linden trees on the land. This is one of my favorite areas of the city (even though I'm not 100% sure I am allowed to ride back there) because it is like a town that is trapped in the early 1900's.

Memorial Day 2015

As everyone is well aware Memorial Day is about remembering our fallen troops. Yes, most of us spend the day with our families having cookouts or going to parades, but we never forget the true meaning of the day and how important the people that serve, alive or gone, are to our freedom as Americans.

I had to work in the morning, so Sarah went to the Lorain parade with her family and then once I got off work we headed over to my parents house for a cookout. Here are a few pictures.

Ride to Krieg's

The other day before work Sarah and I decided to go for a ride. We rode all around the Amherst/Brownhelm area and then ended up at Krieg's It'z the Berries Frozen Custard...whew! So here is video from the trip.

Sarah on a Bike

So today Sarah finally took the plunge and got a new bicycle, and it is definitely very Sarah ,but with much more practical features. The brand is Raleigh and the model is a Venture. It is still a cruiser-style bike like her old one, but with lighter steel and with the lack of fenders and chain guard it weighs only a fraction of her old one. The bike was purchased from Bicycle Bills in Vermilion, and they did a fantastic job working with Sarah to find exactly what she wanted and to set everything up.

[EXPLORE] The Fog

I decided to ride my bicycle yesterday up to the lake like normal, only today I was met with a foe straight out of a horror story. It was a warm 70 degrees and the sun was shining, but soon all that changed. The winds shifted and a dense fog rolled in off the lake (it was probably less dramatic than that). At first I thought something was on fire, but noticed no smell. I continued on my ride, but not before snapping a couple of shots.
