The Fair and Emily's Dorm

This weekend we attended the Lorain County Fair on Saturday and then on Sunday drove to Cleveland to check out Emily's new dorm at CSU. Good times abound! Here are the pics.

Time to get up for the fair!

The End of Vacation

Three weeks go by in a flash when you are constantly attending to a baby. You change about 247 diapers and all of the sudden it is time to go back to work. Sarah is still off for five more weeks, but my time was drawing a close, and much to soon. The end of our vacation was fairly eventful. We had our trip to Marblehead, Sarah's company picnic, some walks, and a long overdue trip to Paper Moon Winery. Here are some of the pictures.

Attended Sarah's company picnic at the Crusher's game.

Elizabeth's First Trip to Marblehead

Yesterday we took our first rip as a new family. We went to one of our favorite places, Marblehead, Ohio and after visiting the lighthouse we took the long way home, stopping off for some ice cream.

It wouldn't be a trip to Marblehead without a stop at the CheeseHaven.

An Unexpected Circumstance

This is post number 200, woohoo! I expected this post to be something special. Perhaps maybe a look back on previous posts or possibly something nifty that Elle did. Instead this post takes us to the hospital. Now before you freak out, no I did not get explosive diarrhea (something that Elle is very familiar with). I had you worried, didn't I?

On Sunday we finally caved and took Elizabeth to the hospital here in Elyria at the request of the on call doctor. She had been screaming and turning away food. We didn't want to be "those" parents, so we dealt with it for a few days thinking that it was just standard baby operating procedure. So where was I?

After Elyria could not find anything wrong with her (besides gas) they spoke to the pediatrician at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland. They recommended that we come in.

The Arrival of Elizabeth (Part 2)

After all the medical stuff was taken care of I was finally able to go out and get the immediate family from the waiting room. They had patiently waited hours (or "5 more minutes" multiple times via text) and were excited to meet the newest addition to the family. Sorry about the picture quality. The lighting in the room was terrible and some pictures are from older cell phones *cough* Mom and Dad.
