North Coast Oktoberfest 2016

This past weekend I was off work (yeah, it was weird for me too) so in between working around the house we drove out to Sandusky for the North Coast Oktoberfest. My sister was in town from Pennsylvania and it was a perfect day for a festival by the lake. The sun was out and the temperatures were in the mid 70's. Only once the sun went down did jackets become a necessity. Anyway, here are some pictures from the day.

Motorcycle Trip to Virginia (Part 4)

After 1.5 great days in Virginia it was sadly time to start heading back north, but not before checking out a couple more spots. The one thing I was most excited for on this trip was the Natural Bridge of Virginia and that was our first stop of the day. We loaded up our bikes and said goodbye to our hosts (and their animals). It was time to head out.

I won't miss the gravel, that's for sure.

Motorcycle Trip to Virginia (Part 3)

We woke up a little later on day 3 of our trip because we were sticking around the area and could do whatever we pleased. We had an itinerary made up before we left, but it was mostly thrown out the window once we got down to Virginia because of some "slight" miscalculations. The good news is that we got breakfast today.

Our teepee window in the morning.

Motorcycle Trip to Virginia (Part 2)

On Tuesday we woke up around 10 am and began our journey toward our final destination. But first we hopped on the highway and headed to breakfast at the Daily Grind in Buckhannon, WV, about an hour away.

All packed up and ready to go.

Motorcycle Trip to Virginia (Part 1)

About a month ago my wife and I decided to go on our first motorcycle trip. We also decided to try out a new website (new to us anyway), Airbnb. For those not familiar with the website, it is basically a site for people renting out part of their home or land and is much cheaper than most hotels. Anyway, back to the story. We knew that we would not be able to go extremely far on our first trip so we decided to travel a maximum of two states away, stopping halfway. Our destination was completely determined by a picture of this...
