Tennessee (Part 3)

After we were done shopping and checking out downtown Gatlinburg it was time to head up into the Great Smoky Mountains. As I drove (and possibly got lost) Sarah took a short nap, until I woke her up for this....

"Bad Kitty"

Well, as you all know Sarah moved into a larger scooter about a week ago, and not to be outdone I decided to do the same. The truth is after I finally got comfortable on two wheels I noticed the shortcomings of Black Betty and knew that someday she would need to be changed out for something with a little more ooomph for longer trips. So without further ado I introduce Brunilda (Armored Warrior Woman in Italian), the Moto Guzzi California Custom 1400.

Tennessee (Part 2)

On day two of our Tennessee adventure we got up around 8 and made our way down to breakfast. It was a complete breakfast and even included biscuits and gravy, which were extremely good, especially for free! Our first stop today was the Ripley's Aquarium of the Smoky's in Gatlinburg, which is known as one of the best aquariums in the country, and we quickly could see why.

Sarah's New Whip

A few days ago Sarah traded in her beloved Luna for a new scooter. Luna was not able to keep up with highway speeds and due to our recent move Sarah has had to travel farther to work. She traded her old scooter in for a much more powerful Piaggio BV350, or as Sarah has dubbed it, Bev.

Bev, the Piaggio BV350!

Kerstetter 5k Run

In 2010 Elyria Police Officer Jim Kerstetter was shot and killed while on duty. He was a really good guy. Every year since there has been a 5k run through the center of Elyria starting at the police station. This year (for some crazy reason) I decided to join in and run the race. With only a few slow downs along the way I was able to finish, and I have been sore ever since. Here are some pictures from the event.

Tennessee (Part 1)

For Sarah's birthday this year I decided to surprise her with a trip to a state we have wanted to visit for quite some time, Tennessee. Our destination was Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, along with the Great Smoky Mountains. The trip was a blast and I hope to visit there again someday. So lets go!

Friday

The traffic through the cities was terrible. Partially my fault for picking 4th of July weekend for a trip. This is Cincinnati.
