Well, in a quick move on Friday I traded in the Charger for something a little...bigger.

Christmas in July

Yesterday we attended a pig roast that was "Christmas in July" themed. It was at Kyle and Ariana's property in Grafton. We attended their wedding last year and it appeared in this post. Sarah and Arie have been friends for many, many years. We had a blast at the party. Here are some pictures from the day.

Elizabeth's 1st Birthday (Part 1)

Yesterday was Elizabeth's 1st Birthday. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. Elizabeth entered our world at 2:56pm on July 21, 2017 and it has been a whirlwind of adventure ever since. We've had ups, downs, and everything in between but nothing in my lifetime has compared to watching this baby who could barely move turn into a walking, talking little girl. Someday you will read this blog Elizabeth, and you will be embarrassed, but just know that Mom and Dad love you very much and will be here to embarrass you for the foreseeable future. Without further ado, here is part one of my Glow Worm's 1st birthday party. "Ugh, Dad!" - Future Elizabeth. Also, if you don't catch on real quick. the party is "donut" themed.

"Welcome to my birthday."

Sarah's 10 Year High School Reunion

Last Saturday was Sarah's 10 year high school reunion. The first portion was actually on Friday at Lakeview Park for a family picnic and then on Saturday we attended the reunion at a hall in Lorain (the name escapes me). The finale, as the kids say, was off da hook.

2018 Kerstetter 5k

This year I was joined by my wife and daughter for the Kerstetter 5k. We ended up doing the fun walk because I can barely run on my own without pushing a stroller. It was a good time and by the time we were done walking it was really hot out. I felt bad for the runners, especially the firefighter in full gear. Here are some pictures from Saturday.

Independence Day 2018

A great man once said "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on, we're going to survive. Today we celebrate our Independence Day!" That man was George Washington...trust me....no, for real it was....Anyway as with all holidays recently we celebrated it over multiple days. My sister Teresa was in town and Elizabeth has not seen her in a while. It was also Sarah's dad's birthday so we celebrated that as well. The 4th was also the first time Elizabeth saw fireworks (well, except for when she was sleeping at a Crusher's Game at a month old). She loved them. Here are some pictures (and video) from the week.
