Overlook Road (Then and Now)

I found an interesting picture a while back taken of Overlook Road in Vermilion from 1950. Why the picture was taken I have no idea, but it is neat to see the development of the street.

I took a picture today of the street on my bike ride, but now realize that it is the completely wrong angle, so I snagged a street view off Google Maps.

One of my favorite parts about these kind of photograph comparisons is looking at the plants and trees. It is amazing how in the first picture you can see the lake in the background, but in this one there is nothing but houses and trees. I wonder if that house from the 1950 photo is still there?

That house in the middle sure looks like the one in the old picture, doesn't it?
