Christmas 2017

This year's Christmas was stretched across three days. On the 23rd my parents and sister came over while Sarah was at an ugly sweater part. Then later Sarah and I opened up our presents to each other. On the 24th we went over to my parent's house and had our Christmas with them. Finally on the 25th we got up, Elizabeth "opened" her presents and then we went over to Sarah's grandparent's house. Later that evening she went to her other grandma's house while I took a nap before work. As it is every year, it was a chaotic good, and I hope it will be for years to come. We didn't take any pictures of us opening presents on the 23rd, but I have a few of my parents coming over and of the ugly sweater party.

December 23rd

Teresa and Mom helping Elle "walk".
Sarah and the gang at their ugly sweater party at Matus Winery.
The calm before the storm.

December 24th

"My 1st Christmas."
Elle and Grandma at their house.
Elizabeth trying to play with Teresa's cat, Cora.
Teresa made a gingerbread house that was not up to fire code. It only had one door.
Our first white Christmas in ten years.
Teresa and happy baby!
Elle helping dad with his presents.
Showing Elizabeth her cat puppet book.
Some more "walking".

December 25th (Christmas Day)

Elizabeth actually did a pretty good job helping.
Mostly just because she wanted to eat the paper and bows.

Where did she go!?
Minnie helped too.
Eyeing the prize.
Everyone ready to go at the Moretz house.
Elizabeth unwrapping her presents with Great Grandpa.
Just standing around (with the help of Emily of course).
Alexandria and Elle opening their presents.
Brenda and Sarah's Grandma Gerry.
Later that evening Elizabeth visited her Great Grandma Lucy!

And finally back home for the night.

Christmas has passed by once again and this year we had an extra family member to enjoy it with. Our greatest gift of all has been watching her grow and learn, and even though we are exhausted most of the time, we wouldn't change it for the world.

It is hard to believe that we went from this scene...
...to this one in a years time.

Merry Christmas to all, and thanks for reading.
