The Lorain County Fair (Part 3)

The final day of the fair went off without a hitch. Soccer balls were kept out of cow poop and despite it being Demolition Derby night, fights did not occur. Most calls were minor, heat exhaustion, vehicle lockouts, and one intoxicated female that had to be removed from the derby area twice.

Believe it or not this was not set up for the picture.
Some more Fair Technology.
My friend Bobby's brother Dieken in the derby.

Tonight I ventured out of my dispatching box to check out the derby (because cars smashing into each other until they can't run is actually pretty cool). On my way back to the Sheriff sub-station I had to get one of my favorite fair foods, the corndog. I apologize for not snapping a picture of my delicious treat, but it was devoured before I walked away from the stand.

The Midway.
A couple of hours later the incessant droning of V8 engines subsided, the dust settled in the infield, vendors and livestock caretakers loaded up, and I logged off of my computers for the final time at the 2014 Lorain County Fair.

'Merica!
