[EXPLORE] Adventures in Babysitting (Part 2)

We left off boarding the ferry to Kelley's Island with our dog Minnie and niece Alexandria in tow. This is the continuation of our little adventure.

It took us about 30 minutes to get from the mainland to the island. The Kelley's Island ferry wasn't exactly built for speed, but we didn't care. The view was incredible.

The children were ready to go!

Park downtown.
More of downtown along the shoreline.

Put-put.

Baby chillaxin'.
Alexandria sitting in a massive chair at the ice cream stand.
"Alright, enough with the pictures!"
After we fed ourselves and the baby Minnie decided she wanted some of Alexandria's food.....

We then decided we had our fill of the island life. We set forth to return to the ferry and back to the mainland, but on the way we came across something pretty interesting.

It is known as "Inscription Rock". Native Americans carved on the massive stone. Unfortunately most of it was weathered away. They constructed a roof over top of it and made a replica on this plaque to preserve the history.
Looking out at the lake from Inscription Rock.
Back at the ferry dock.
Sunset selfie time!
Passing the laker on the way back to the mainland.
After we returned to he mainland we ate at one of our favorite restaurants in the area, Cleats (classy right?). Well, at least two of us ate....somebody else was done for the day.

Thanks for reading!
