On Saturday we borrowed our niece Alexandria, My brother and sister-in-law were moving into their new home and decided it would be easier if we took her for a day of adventure and exploration. Here are the better photographs of our day.
Breakfast

Delicious! |
"Can you stop taking pictures so we can go?" |
Grown ups having breakfast and Alexandria chugging. |
After everyone had their respective breakfasts we returned home to get Minnie and then headed out to one of our favorite spots, Marblehead.
Marblehead
Someone was nice enough to take our picture. |
She was pretty happy all day. |
Minnie was pretty happy too, although tired. |
Then I noticed another structure being built in the woods just to the south of the lighthouse. While Sarah was changing a diaper I escaped to see what it was.
The structure in the woods. |
Pretty sure I was trespassing (shhh). |
I backed out to read the signs. |
The building is going to be a replica of the Coast Guard Life Saving Station that stood here from 1875 until 1921. |
After wandering around the lighthouse area for a while we got back in the car and head to downtown Marblehead to check out what was going on.

Downtown with some rat-rods in the foreground. |
Old schoolhouse that is now a winery. |
After visiting a few shops downtown we moved that car into a closer parking lot and boarded the ferry to Kelley's Island. Seeing as 3 out of the 4 of us have never been there, we decided it would be a good idea to go see what the island had to offer.
To be continued....
