Trip to Marblehead with the Pups

After months of working on the house day in and day out it was finally time to get some fresh air. As today was in the mid 60's Sarah and I decided to take the dogs out for a day trip, and what better way to cure the lake withdrawals than to take them to Marblehead. Our first stop was the "Bark Until Dark" Dog Park in Danbury and we had the place all to ourselves.

Can I go Mom, can I?
Minnie on high alert.

Duke in motion.
Time to go.
After the dogs explored the dog park we packed them back up into the Pilot and drove to our usual lake destination, the Marblehead Lighthouse.

Round 2.

She's working on it...
Dog belt.
To the lake!

What a majestic creature (when he's not getting tangled in his leash). The lake was really choppy today.

After we visited the lighthouse we then made our way to our traditional eating spot, Cleats Bar on the harbor. While the dogs rested in the car we chowed down on wings and such, but not before I got a few more pictures (naturally).

All in all it was a really nice day (albeit slightly cold) and a great break from the monotony. I'm sure we can both agree that we will be doing it again soon.

Bonus picture. Got the bike out today!
As always, thanks for reading.
