Staycation 2018 (Part 1)

We used to go on vacations and some day we will go on one again, but destination vacations are hard to do with a 1 year old with the attention span of a, well, a 1 year old. So this year we decided to do a "staycation". Sarah had to use her vacation time before the end of the month and I miraculously found a hole in my work schedule to get the week off as well. Now, when I say "staycation", what I really mean is that we stayed in the area, not that we stayed at home as you will see below. Here are some pictures of our week off and a true representation of this blog's namesake, Lorain County life.

Sunday

Sunday Sarah went with my parents to the Huron Arts Festival. I sat that one out because I had worked the night before.
Elizabeth loves slides!

Dad and Elizabeth.

Tuesday

On Tuesday we loaded everyone up and went out to Marblehead. Duke liked sitting in the bed of the truck.
Ah, so nice.
AHHHH.
Sarah and Elizabeth making faces at each other while eating their turkey sandwiches.
Our turkey sandwich...
...Elizabeth's turkey sandwich.
Apparently she likes it.
Duke chilling by the table.
Elizabeth was feeding Minnie and then giving me looks.
We then went exploring and Elle wanted to show me all her rocks.
At least the ones she wasn't trying to eat.
Elizabeth would have just kept going if we let her.
Silly Dada.
On our way home we stopped for ice cream.
Elizabeth recently started drinking from straws and likes to show off.

This post is turning out longer than planned so stay tuned for Part 2!

Thanks for reading.
