[EXPLORE] The Duct Tape Festival

The Avon Duct Tape Festival is one of the largest festivals in Lorain County. It attracts around 50,000 people every year. Avon is home to the world headquarters of Duck brand duct tape and for the past 12 years they have held the festival. There even is a college scholarship for Avon High School students that create the best prom dress out of duct tape every year.

I had never visited the festival before so my wife and I decided to head on out. Here are some pictures...

Duct tape!

Bar made of duct tape.
Yep, made from duct tape.
Yes, also made from duct tape.
80's rock cover band (my favorite kind of music).
The top 10 finalists in the prom dress competition.
They had craft tables set up for kids (and Sarah) to make things out of tape.
The Stromboli stand...mmmmm.
Our grub. Sarah had a pulled pork mac n cheese sandwich and I had the Stromboli. Tomato sauce is a fruit right?
Probably the best duct tape creation, created by Elyria High School.
The festival was a good time and had lots to look at. We enjoyed ourselves and got stuffed on delicious festival food, including a deep fried cinnamon bun. We will definitely go back.

Thanks for reading!
