Elizabeth Josephine Davis

The past few weeks have been a little busy around the Davis household. About a week ago we decided on our daughter's name, Elizabeth Josephine, or Elle for short. Elizabeth was a top contender for us for the majority of our name planning process and Josephine was my grandmother's name on my mother's side. We have also been working on Baby Elle's room, and I think I speak for the both of us when I say we have a love/hate relationship with building furniture!

Here are some pictures of the progress thus far:

Baby Gender Reveal. It's a...

Whoa, not yet, hold your horses. Today Sarah and I decided to host a gender reveal party for our baby boy/girl. We decided to just have some close family over for some pizza and a reveal cake. Sarah picked up the blood results from the doctor on Wednesday in a sealed envelope and dropped them off at Kiedrowski's Bakery in Amherst so that they could bake us a cake for the reveal. The cake will have a layer of frosting in the middle that will either be blue or pink. These are some pictures of the reveal. Are you excited? I know I am!

Baking with Aunt Sarah

Today we babysat our niece Alexandria and Aunt Sarah assisted her in baking cookies, which turned out exactly how you would have expected them to. Here are some pictures of the bakers.

First we must wash our hands. Alexandria is a germophobe.

A Tale of Three Christmases

Christmas is always a little hectic. Trying to spend time with two sides of the family is hard enough on its own, but when you work night shift it is even harder to get to family functions (you know, because of sleep). This year was especially hard sleep wise, but I wouldn't have traded it for the world. We decided to split Christmas into three days so that we weren't so rushed. On the first day Sarah and I would have Christmas at our house. On Christmas Eve we spent time at my parent's house and on Christmas Day we went to her grandmother's. Here are some pictures from our three days of festivities.

Trip to Seattle (Part 2)

After we checked out Pike Place Market we headed over to the Space Needle to see what everything looked like from above, and let me tell you, it was cool and it was cold!

Whoa.

Trip to Seattle (Part 1)

One of my closest friends Aaron from high school got married last weekend and I was lucky enough to play a part in the ceremony. He asked me to be a groomsman and of course I couldn't refuse, so Sarah and I bought our plane tickets to Seattle, Washington right away.We decided to room with another groomsman and his fiancee, Travis and Elizabeth, whom are also friends of ours.

On Friday around 8am we left our house for the airport. The trip ended up being pretty amazing. I only wish we could have stayed longer than the weekend, but I digress. Join me as we explore Seattle and the Great Northwest!

Ready to go with her no caffeine, froo froo pregnancy tea!

The Tiniest Heartbeat

Yesterday my wife had her first baby appointment. We were ushered into this small exam room with a big screen TV and a bunch of expensive looking equipment (all of which I wanted to play with) to see the first pictures of our child. Before we knew it the images were projected on the screen.

I can see the resemblance already.
